The Colorado & Southern referred to in the caption ran from 1898 to 1908; the Eldorado Springs Railway was incorporated in 1909 with the intention of servicing an amusement park with electrified passenger service. Thus, this rare postcard documents precisely the 1908 / 1909 transition. It is unused, faint album marks at the front corners; discoloration at the bottom 2 corners attributable to the original chromo-lithographic process itself.
