established for and managed by women, & an outspoken supporter of women's suffrage,
she represented the National Council of Women of the US at the International Council of
Women in Geneva in 1908. Undoubtedly this card was issued on the occasion of the
dedication of the Society's new home office in 1917. Many people could not tell you
who she is, but the fact that women can get life insurance these days is tribute to her
legacy!

alongside their 1907 or 1908 (previous owner penciled 1907 on front, we
think 1908) Buick, real photo postcard with message from Carrie to her
mother Mrs. J.
C. Wright in Spencer Iowa, mailed in 1911 (stamp damaged). Lightly toned
back, minor corner rounding, both upper corners creased, traces of cancel
ink in the front sky, album toning at the front corners. Possibly unique. Because there is no printed
